Our Consultants know "Whats Important to a web site"
A well engineered web site must work together with your total marketing effort and stragagy. Marketing you or your business on the internet can include a web site, and many other means of advertising or reach out to a specific audience of prospects or clients. A web site consists of three main areas that MUST work together for the public and targeted visitors to really want to call you, and do business with you. These areas are:
Web Design,
Content, and
Marketing.
Our Consultants can help you understand in the simplest terms what it takes to provide a high quality web solution that will work foryou and your business.
To the owner of the web site (away from the public eye) this also includes
Hosting. Hosting can also make or break a web site, and includes important things like email, statistics, security, software, bandwidth, disk space, search engine crawls, and more.
Design: Must look and feel like all your other marketing material such as business cards, logos, and brochures. Also the design must GRAB the attention of the visitor and draw them into your business asking the visitor to click on something, call you, or use your product or business.
Content: Upon finding your web site, the visitor MUST find useful and interesting information that they actaully WANT to read or browse. Most people don't sit and read web sites, they actually just scan. So things like small graphics, and bullet lists will be read and viewed more.
Marketing: There are two main types or areas of marketing when discussing web sites. These are
Inter-web marketing® and
Intra-web marketing® and both must be used correctly. Unfortunately marketing a web site is the most often ignored or missed element in web sites today.
Inter-web marketing® : This includes driving visitors to your web site through more traditional methods. These include all your business cards, news paper ads, tradeshows, and all non internet related efforts to promote your service or product.
Intra-web marketing® : Includes all search engines, submissions, optmization of your site, electronic news letters, emails, and advertising. These must be done with a balance and permission based approach allowing the correct set of visitors to find your web site, that really want to do business with you.
Hosting: In most cases hosting is the last and least of the considerations for most businesses when looking into a web site. Or we see clients only looking at price, and makeing their selection on this alone. One of the great things about using the internet to promote your business is that you can "
TRACK all VISITORS" habits, views, timing, and traffic. This separates the use of internet marketing so far from traditional marketing that there is no comparison. Hosting also needs to balance speed to make sure your site is fast, security, disk space, and access to your site. You should always have access to your web site content and images to make changes as you need.
